Conception

For the second year I did an event called Ornamentation put on by the Richmond Chapter of AIGA. When my ornament was finished I had a number of "parts" that were not used. My mind began to create and before I knew it I had created my first "Micrograve." As you can probably figure out the grave markers were not some of the left over parts.

When it was done I gave it to my wife for her desk at work. No matter how much you beg me for it, the piece belongs to my wife now. I am glad I still have it because a year later when I decided to explore this body of work further I had forgotten that I could use some of the early techniques. So here it is... in all it's glory... my Alpha...
